4th Chef's Dinner with Stacey Schulz
Sunday, October 26
Elgin
Sunday, October 26
5:30pm – 9pm
$150 plus tax and gratuity
October is Homecoming Month and Los Milics is staging a stellar celebration! On October 26, Chef Stacey Schulz (McDevitt) who describes herself as a cook, baker, and part culinary traveler will return to Arizona to cook for our Fourth Chef’s dinner. Her menu is a five-course love letter to the flavors of fall.
Stacey came to Arizona to attend culinary school and, with her former partner, co-owned Restaurant Hapa & Mika Asian Grill in Scottsdale. She taught cooking classes at The Farm at South Mountain and Sweet Basil Cooking School. After 10 years in the Valley, she and her family relocated to Napa Valley, California for new opportunities and co-owned Restaurant Budo, where she worked with our own Pavle Milic.
She moved back to her birthplace in New York in 2007 and makes her home on the East end of Long Island as Executive Chef at Copper Beech by the sea, in Bellport Village. She cooks for retreats, private clients, and events including Isabella Rossellini’s organic farm and B&B, Mama Farm.
“I was influenced to choose a career in culinary arts by many great cooks in my life and strong influential women including my mother, grandmother, and aunt, all resourceful women who know how to gather people around the table.” Stacey said. A sought-after chef who loves to travel, Stacey has traveled and cooked in Europe, Singapore, Asia, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, which has given her the opportunity to pursue a passion for exploring cultures and both sweet and savory cooking. And she’s found time to do dinners at the James Beard House.
Join us on Sunday, October 26 at 5:30 pm to welcome Stacey home!
Tickets are $150, plus tax and gratuity.
September Chef’s Dinner
Sunday, September 28th
Our September Chef’s Dinner features Chef Lori Hashimoto and the joys of autumn.
Chef Lori Hashimoto, co-owner and chef of Hana Japanese Eatery, will join us for our 3rd Chef’s Dinner. She will prepare and present a traditional kaiseki dinner to celebrate the season. Lori is a James Beard semi-finalist who has won nearly every culinary award. As your guide/chef, she will take you on a five-course journey through flavors, textures, and visual delights that showcase the very best of fresh autumn ingredients and presented in exquisite Japanese artistic style.
Since it opened in 2007, Hana has garnered “Best Sushi” and “Best Japanese Restaurant” awards multiple times by every major media outlet in Phoenix. Hana is on the national radar, too, having been named one of the country’s top 20 Japanese restaurants by Travel & Leisure magazine and a top 10 Arizona restaurant by Zagat. For the past six years and counting, Lori has been a regular guest on Phoenix television station KTVK’s lifestyle program “Your Life Arizona,” demystifying Japanese cooking for home cooks. A third-generation Japanese American from a long line of farmers, Lori finds inspiration in combining old-world Japanese tradition with modern sensibilities. We are honored to welcome her to Los Milics.

Harvest Send-Off Dinner
Sunday, August 3rd
We’re cooking up a delicious double-header at our estate vineyard in Elgin on August 3. Join us as we celebrate not one, but TWO great chefs in the second installment of our Chef’s Dinner Series.
Enjoy a five-course dinner prepared by Chefs Charleen Badman of award-winning FnB in Scottsdale and our own Trevor Routman of Los Milics Vineyards. In 2019 Charleen won the James Beard Award for Best Chef in the Southwest. Trevor worked at James Beard nominated restaurants and is now winning rave reviews at our Elgin tasting room.
We’re pairing their incredible cuisine with five outstanding Arizona wines to make this a special harvest send-off for our local winemakers. You’ll meet Todd & Kelly of Dos Cabezas; Kylie of The Meading Room; Kent & Lisa of Callaghan Vineyards; Emmett & Lilly of Queen of Cups; and Pavle & Ita of Los Milics. Once you’re in a room with this much talent, you’ll know why Wine Enthusiast recently named Sonoita as one of the next Napas.
